KitCaboose was established by Clare Morton, a Glasgow based designer and ThreeFourFive Furniture, a cabinetry workshop situated by the river Clyde. Using our shared passion of early modernism design and fabrication as a kindle and reference point, we have partnered up to provide a comprehensive design service that supplies high quality bespoke kitchens.
Like its name sake, KitCaboose strives to invent kitchens that fit effortlessly into peoples lives and homes. Creating innovative designs that work harmoniously as workstations and social hubs. Through our years of experience in the design industry and working closely with our clients objectives, we have developed a series of four kitchen designs all with their own unique characteristics. Offering creative cabinetry solutions to practical cooking experiences for all manner of living spaces.
All KitCaboose kitchen furniture, worktops and bespoke accessories are manufactured at ThreeFourFive Furniture’s specialist cabinetry workshop located in Govan, Glasgow. Our modern, well equipped facilities, combined with over 10 years experience in interior design and bespoke furniture production, inform our playful approach to explore materials, methods and technology, resulting in unique and clever kitchens that are fun, flexible and built to last.
At the core, all our cabinetry ranges and drawer systems are made from high quality birch plywood and manufactured completely in house using computer aided technology and high quality assembly methods. We have created a catalogue of base and wall cupboards, drawer units, larders and shelving configurations, as well as options for appliance housings for you to select from. All units will be made to order and bespoke to each kitchen design in style, surface material and of course, your individual needs.
Using CNC technology together with our versatile edge banding lines and traditional woodworking machinery allow us to create fronts and surfaces from a multitude of materials - from solid timber, veneered materials to laminates including ultra matt decors.
To ensure in-house production we fabricate made to measure worktops using solid surface materials such as HI-MACS, Durat or DuPont Corian. We love being adventurous with interesting colour and decor combinations, as well as customised options such as fused seamless sink and drainboard combinations or thermoformed elements. We are also able to create wooden worktops of any kind.
One of our favourite elements of any kitchen are drawers. From slim utility pull-outs to deep pan storage or hidden worksurface extensions, we love making our own. KitCaboose drawer boxes are made from 12mm birch plywood with matching or lightweight laminate bases, as well as optional pegboard dividers or levelled inlays. Designed specific to the range of carcasses as well as the individual style of kitchen, we aim to make the drawer a focal point. Our exposed drawer boxes are constructed with long finger-joints to add further detail.
